National Economics University and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore open student exchange program in 2024

This morning (March 19, 2024), at the National Economics University, the opening student exchange program "Overseas Immersion Program" took place between the National Economics University and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore in 2024.

Attending the opening ceremony, on the side of Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore were Mr Ng Yaw Tong Fabian - Head of the delegation and Mr Tan Hong Key Andy. On the side of the National Economics University, there were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu - Deputy Rector; Dr. Dao Thanh Tung – Head of International Cooperation Department; together with representatives of functional units and 60 students from the two schools participating in the exchange program.

Speaking at the opening of the program, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu - Vice Principal welcomed the delegates and students participating in the cooperative student exchange program between National Economics University and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore in 2024. Associate Professor. Nguyen Thanh Hieu affirmed that over the years, the program has brought many bonding opportunities for students of the two schools through participating in classes and many other interesting and useful experiential activities, thereby contributing to building and tightening the strong, long-term relationship between National Economics University and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Associate Professor, Vice Principal Nguyen Thanh Hieu believes that after two weeks of experiencing the "Overseas Immersion Program", students will be integrated into the learning environment at NEU, equipped with more knowledge, better understand Vietnam's emerging, dynamic economy and will certainly be wonderful, memorable experiences about the land, people and cultural colors of Vietnam for all students.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Ng Yaw Tong Fabian emphasized: "On behalf of the lecturers and students of Ngee Ann Polytechnic, I would like to send my most sincere thanks to the lecturers and students of the National Economics University for providing us with a warm space and this warm welcome. Hopefully the student exchange program "Overseas Immersion Program" in 2024 between the Polytechnic School Ngee Ann Polytechnic and the National Economics University this year will bring opportunities to exchange, learn and have rich experiences for participating students."

The student exchange program between the National Economics University and Ngee Ann Polytechnic is held annually with the purpose of providing knowledge about Vietnam's history, culture, economy and market, and experiences about Vietnam and Singapore for participating students. The program is designed to include classroom activities (presentations, workshops...) and practical sightseeing, diplomatic, exploration, and learning activities about Vietnam's economy and culture. Through the program, it will help students improve their awareness and understanding of economic, political, and social issues of Vietnam and Singapore; Improve English proficiency and soft skills as well as improve understanding of the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Singapore. The program will take place from March 18 to March 30, 2024.
