Signing ceremony of cooperation agreement between College of Technology - National Economics University and Duc Than Consulting Co., Ltd., Taiwan

On October 21, 2025, at the National Economics University, the Signing Ceremony of a Cooperation Agreement took place between the College of Technology - National Economics University and Duc Than Consulting Co., Ltd. (DAC - Decent Actuarial Consultants, Taiwan).

Attending the ceremony, on behalf of Duc Than Consulting Co., Ltd. were Mr. Chris Chan - General Director of DAC Company; Ms. Gina Chen - President and Head of Human Resources. On the side of the National Economics University, there was Dr. Nguyen Quang Huy - Principal of the College of Technology; Dr. Dao Thanh Tung – Head of International Cooperation Department; Dr. Nguyen Manh The - Head of the Department of Economic Mathematics and staff and lecturers of the Department of Economic Mathematics.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Quang Huy affirmed:"The cooperation between NEU and DAC not only has financial significance through scholarship programs, but also demonstrates a long-term commitment to accompanying students on the path to conquering knowledge and career. DAC is a reputable, responsible partner and always fully implements commitments throughout the cooperation process. We believe that today's agreement will open up many new opportunities for NEU students, especially those majoring in Insurance Actuarial & Risk Management (Actuary) - a field that requires logical thinking capacity, analytical skills and extensive international knowledge.”

 DAC representative, Mr. Chris Chan expressed his confidence in NEU's training quality: "We highly appreciate the training program of National Economics University, especially in the fields of Economic Mathematics and Actuarial. DAC is always ready to accompany NEU students through scholarship programs, internships and job opportunities. We hope to join NEU in training a team of highly qualified actuaries, meeting the need for high-quality human resources in the Asian region."

From 2018 up to now, NEU and DAC have signed a Cooperation Agreement twice. Accordingly, DAC sponsors scholarships for NEU students, especially those who achieve certificates in the exams of the International Society of Actuaries (SOA). In addition to scholarships, DAC also supports paid internships, recruits graduates, and grants master's degree scholarships to students studying Actuology in Taiwan.

During the previous period of cooperation, DAC awarded two rounds of scholarships to NEU students. Many Actuary students have had the opportunity to intern and work at DAC, as well as receive funding to continue their postgraduate studies. Continuous companionship from businesses not only helps students access the international working environment, but also motivates them to participate in international professional certification exams.

Based on the effective cooperation foundation that has been built, the two sides expressed their expectation that the new Cooperation Agreement will continue to promote its value, acting as a bridge between the two countries.knowledge – profession – business, and at the same time contribute to promoting the sustainable development of the Insurance Actuarial & Risk management at National Economics University.
