Impact of artificial intelligence on education, opportunities and challenges for National Economics University

At the Seminar “Innovating teaching and learning methods to adapt to the development of technology and artificial intelligence”, PhD. Nguyen Quang Huy - Principal of the College of Technology - presented  about the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on education, especially in the context of National Economics University (NEU).

Dr. Nguyen Quang Huy emphasizes that AI, especially branches such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Generative AI, are and will continue to profoundly change teaching and learning methods. AI tools help tutors automate many tasks such as creating lectures, grading, looking up documents and supporting research. Students are supported in studying, developing critical thinking, soft skills, learning foreign languages ​​and preparing career profiles. For managers, AI contributes to streamlining administrative processes, administrative efficiency through dashboard systems, chatbots and automatic reports.

In addition to outstanding benefits, AI also poses many challenges such as: the risk of academic fraud, reduced ability to think independently, pressure for technological innovation and lack of clear legal framework on privacy, ethics and intellectual property.

Concluding the presentation, Dr. Nguyen Quang Huy called on the National Economics University to proactively build a comprehensive AI ecosystem - from development strategies, technology infrastructure, AI integrated training programs to human resource training - to effectively exploit the potential of AI, while ensuring sustainable and sustainable development in higher education.
