Seminar: Emergence of Collective Behaviours: From Human Altruism to Responsible AI Governance

On July 16, 2025, the College of Technology organized an academic discussion with the participation of Professor Han The Anh from Teesside University (UK). The topic of the exchange is: “The formation of collective behaviors: From human altruism to responsible AI governance” (Emergence of Collective Behaviors: From Human Altruism to Responsible AI Governance).

Professor Han The Anh is currently Professor of Computer Science and Head of the Center for Digital Innovation (CDI), part of the School of Computer Science, Engineering and Digital Technology, Teesside University, an expert in AI and multi-agent systems. He has many years of research experience in the field of artificial intelligence and in interdisciplinary approaches, especially focusing on topics such as: AI safety behavioral models, human cooperation dynamics, AI cognitive models, evolutionary game theory, agent-based models, intention recognition, and knowledge representation. In addition, he also cooperates with behavioral economists to experiment with humans, thereby verifying and developing theoretical models of cooperative behavior.

At the discussion with the College of Technology, Professor Han The Anh shared many typical research results and approaches. interdisciplinary approach in building AI systems that are responsible and in harmony with social norms. The presented content attracted the attention of teachers and students of the College of Technology, contributing to enriching the academic perspective in the field of artificial intelligence and human behavior.
