Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Lausanne University - Switzerland on cooperation and exchange

On May 30, 2025, the National Economics University (NEU), through the Department of Mathematics and Economics, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Lausanne - Switzerland, represented by the Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC). This is an important milestone in promoting international cooperation in training, research and academic exchange between two prestigious universities.

Attending the signing ceremony, on the University of Lausanne side, there was Prof. Frederic Herman – Principal and Professor. Marianne Schmid Mast – Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics. On the side of the National Economics University, there were Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - University Director and Dr. Nguyen Manh The - Head of the Department of Economic Mathematics, College of Technology.

According to the content of the Memorandum of Understanding, the two sides agreed to implement many key cooperative activities, including:

a. Visits and exchanges for teaching staff, researchers and administrative staff;
b. General research activities;
c. Organizing joint academic and scientific activities, such as classes, lectures, seminars or symposiums;
d. Student exchange;
e. Exchange of academic or other useful documents;
f. Other forms of cooperation that universities want to put into practice.

In particular, within the framework of cooperation, students graduating from the Actuarial Program at the College of Technology - National Economics University will be given favorable conditions to continue studying for a Master's degree at the University of Lausanne - one of Europe's leading prestigious training institutions in the field of economics and finance.

The signing ceremony marks a new step in the internationalization strategy. and improve the training quality of the Faculty of Economics and Mathematics in particular and the National Economics University in general. At the same time, the cooperation with the University of Lausanne - a university with a high position in global university rankings - affirms the school's academic reputation and integrated vision in the rapidly changing global higher education context.
