Lecturers from the College of Technology visited and coordinated with Lam Son Sugar Joint Stock Company (Lasuco) to organize a course on applying AI in businesses

On May 31, 2025, the Faculty of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence collaborated with Lam Son Sugar Joint Stock Company (Lasuco) to organize the thematic course "Application of AI in business - production of the sugar industry".

The course attracted the participation of more than 50 officers, leaders and department directors at Lasuco. The program content focuses on introducing artificial intelligence (AI) application methods in optimizing production processes, data management and improving business operational efficiency.

According to evaluation from the organizers, 100% of students expressed excitement with new knowledge, and also appreciated its practicality and ability to immediately apply it to work. Notably, many officials have initially identified problems that can deploy AI in the current production system.

Lasuco leaders said they will pilot a number of AI models in the near future, in order to stay ahead of the digital transformation trend and improve the competitiveness of businesses in the sugar industry.

Lasuco's proactive approach to new technology, especially artificial intelligence, showing the determination to innovate and adapt to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, while also opening up prospects for improving productivity, product quality and business efficiency in the coming years.

Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence - College of Technology is honored to accompany Lasuco on the digital transformation journey. The course is the first step for deeper cooperation between schools and businesses in AI applications. In the coming time, the Faculty will continue to coordinate and support Lasuco in research and practical implementation activities.
