The Quantitative Risk Management program trains a new generation of graduates with sharp analytical thinking, a solid foundation in economics and finance, and the ability to apply modern technologies in risk management. Students are not only equipped with in-depth knowledge of mathematical models and probability–statistics in economics and finance, but also trained in analyzing financial data to build and evaluate risk models in practice.
A highlight of the program is the close integration between financial knowledge and technological skills that are highly demanded in the labor market, such as programming, databases, data science, and artificial intelligence. As a result, students are well-prepared to enter the field of quantitative risk management at banks, investment funds, insurance companies, and financial institutions both domestically and internationally.

During the course of study, students in the Quantitative Risk Management program at the National Economics University will be equipped with the following knowledge and skills:
Master fundamental knowledge of politics, society, law, and natural sciences; at the same time, possess a foundation in economics and finance.
Have knowledge of programming, databases, data science, and artificial intelligence to apply in analyzing and solving problems in economics and finance.
Master quantitative methods such as mathematics, probability–statistics, econometrics, and data analysis techniques in economics and finance.
Understand and apply models related to underlying assets and derivatives; have the ability to simulate, model, and analyze problems in financial investment and risk management.
Master knowledge of types of risks and risk management processes in accordance with domestic and international standards and regulations.

Graduates of the English-taught Quantitative Risk Management program, which meets international standards in risk management (the curriculum is designed with many specialized courses aligned with the content of international risk management certifications such as FRM, SCR, and RAI by GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals)), can work in developed markets (North America, Europe, Japan, Australia) as well as emerging markets (Southeast Asian countries).
