The 31st National Student Mathematics Olympiad for students has just been successfully held at Saigon University from April 1 to 5, 2025. The event was organized by the Vietnam Mathematics Association in collaboration with Saigon University, attracting 649 candidates from 90 delegations representing academies and universities nationwide, with a total of 749 entries in two subjects: Algebra and Calculus.

For a long time, Mathematics is not just a field basic science but also an important foundation of scientific and technological development. Especially in the era of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, when artificial intelligence, big data, computer science and digital economy are creating profound changes, the role of Mathematics becomes more important than ever. In this year's exam, the College of Technology - NEU was honored to have 2 students achieve excellent results. Student Tong Manh Cuong - Actuary Class 66B - Department of Mathematics and Economics won the Gold Medal in Algebra and the Silver Medal in Calculus. Student Nguyen Thi Bich - Economic Mathematics Class 66 - Department of Economic Mathematics won the Bronze Medal in Algebra.
