Students of the College of Technology continue to affirm their bravery, intelligence and position on Vietnam's technology academic map with a series of impressive achievements at a series of prestigious technology competitions in 2025, including: Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad (OLP'25), Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (OlpAI'25), Open Source Software Competition, Procon Vietnam 2025 and ICPC Asia Ho Chi Minh City 2025.

After 5 days of exciting competition (from December 8 to 12, 2025), the annual technology competition series has ended at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. Ho Chi Minh (HUTECH). This year's event brings together nearly 1,000 information technology students, nearly 200 coaches, from 87 universities, colleges, and institutes across the country; At the same time, it expanded with the participation of specialized high school teams and international teams from Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
The exam series is jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Information Technology Association, Central Vietnam Student Association and HUTECH; sponsored by the Ministry of Education & Training, Ministry of Science & Technology, Vietnam Union of Science & Technology Associations, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and City People's Committee. Ho Chi Minh. With a diverse exam system from AI, antagonistic programming, application development to simulation of practical problems, the competitions continue to affirm their position as a high-quality academic arena for Vietnamese technology students.
At the Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Olympic Competition, the "NEU LINH" team of the National Economics University excellently won the Northern Regional Championship, overcoming many strong opponents with calmness, sharp thinking and the ability to break through at the right time.
The "NEU LINH" team is an effective combination of 01 student from the Faculty of Information Technology and 02 students from the Faculty of Data Science & Artificial intelligence clearly demonstrates the power of interdisciplinary training - a key factor in the era of artificial intelligence. This achievement is a vivid testament to the creative capacity, modern AI thinking and interdisciplinary coordination ability of College of Technology students.

In addition, two NEU teams excellently won the right to participate in the final round of the Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Contest 2025, continuing to affirm the University's position in the field of AI.
At the Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad (OLP'25), NEU students continued to leave a strong mark in many exam contents.
In the Information Technology Division, student Le Quoc Tran Anh (Faculty of Economic Mathematics) excellently won the championship, surpassing many experienced opponents. In addition, Ha Quang Minh (Faculty of Economic Mathematics) and Tong Nhat Linh (Faculty of Information Technology) also won Consolation Prizes, contributing to thickening the achievement list of the College of Technology, NEU.

In the Non-Informatics Division, student Nguyen Phuong Ngan (Faculty of Economic Mathematics) won Second Prize; Nguyen Van Khoi (Faculty of Economic Mathematics) won the Third Prize and Luong Quang Trung (Faculty of Information Systems) won the Encouragement Prize. In particular, Nguyen Phuong Ngan was also honored in the "Outstanding Female Student" category, becoming a typical highlight of NEU students in the national arena.

In the Super Cup content, student Nguyen Trung Hai (Faculty of Data Science & Artificial Intelligence) won the Bronze Cup; Two students Nguyen Minh Quang and Phan Minh (with the Faculty of Data Science & Artificial Intelligence) won the Third Prize, continuing to affirm the school's outstanding training quality in the field of data and technology.

Not only successful in specialized academic content, NEU students also made their mark at the Open Source Software Competition when two teams from the Faculty of Information Technology won the Consolation Prize.
