Nguyen Pham Tuan, a second-year student majoring in Data Science at the Faculty of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, College of Technology - National Economics University, was officially selected to be part of the Vietnamese delegation attending the 49th Ship for Southeast Asia - Japan Youth Program (SSEAYP). In addition to his outstanding academic achievements, Tuan is currently taking on the role of class president of the Data Science class. 66B.

To win a position in the Top 16 official delegates, Tuan had to pass a multi-step selection process with high requirements and a high level of competition nationwide. Delegates are selected based on their English proficiency, comprehensive understanding of Vietnamese history, culture, economy and society, as well as knowledge of youth and youth movements. They are typical faces representing the young generation of Vietnam in international exchange activities.

SSEAYP is an annual youth exchange program organized by the Japanese Government in collaboration with ASEAN countries. This is one of the most influential youth diplomacy activities in the region, aiming to strengthen mutual understanding, promote friendship and expand international vision for young people. The 2026 program will take place from January 15 to February 17 and includes exchanges, cultural exchanges, topic discussions and tours in Japan and ASEAN countries.
