On the morning of July 4, 2025, the National Economics University (NEU) held a ceremony to receive funding to support learning and teaching from the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank). This is a practical activity, contributing to strengthening facilities and improving the quality of training at the School.

The Faculty of Economic Mathematics is the direct recipient of this grant with a total cost of 500 million VND, used to equip the lab for learning and research at the Faculty and College of Technology. This investment is expected to create more favorable conditions for students in the learning and practice process, especially in the fields of applied mathematics, statistics, modeling and data science.

On Vietcombank's side, attending the ceremony were Mr. Vuong Minh Giang - Head of Risk Management Models and Tools Department, K42 alumni of the Faculty of Economic Mathematics, and Ms. Pham Thi Huong Giang - Deputy Director of Vietcombank Hoan Kiem Branch. The companionship of alumni and business representatives demonstrates the deep connection between the school and the business community in developing high-quality human resources.

On the side of National Economics University, attending the program were Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - University Director; Dr. Nguyen Quang Huy - Principal of the College of Technology; Dr. Nguyen Manh The – Head of Department of Economic Mathematics; and representatives of leaders of Schools, Departments, Faculties, Institutes, Centers, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Economics and Mathematics.

The ceremony is not only an opportunity to acknowledge the valuable support from Vietcombank but also a to the effective attachment between the school and business units, especially in accompanying students and tutors on the journey of learning, teaching and research.

The grant from Vietcombank is a great source of motivation for the Faculty of Economic Mathematics in particular and the College of Technology in general to continue to develop a modern, innovative and integrated learning environment.
