In order to arouse the spirit of academic competition, create an environment to practice thinking and develop student capacity, the National Economics University officially announced plans to organize school-level academic exams in the 2025 school year. This is an opportunity for students to affirm their professional capacity, accumulate experience and win the right to represent the school to participate in national and international competitions.
Informatics Olympiad is a traditional playground to discover, foster and select students with excellent programming abilities to participate in the Vietnamese Student Informatics Olympiad and the ICPC Asia regional exam. The exam is divided into two blocks: Specialized block for students majoring in Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems and Software Engineering; The Non-Specialized block is for students of the remaining majors throughout the school.
Candidates will compete in computer programming using C/C++/Python/Java with problems on algorithms, data structures and logical thinking.

For students who are passionate about Mathematics, the University-level Mathematics Olympiad exam provides an opportunity to practice logical thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and prepare for the national Mathematics Olympiad.
Exam subject:
Algebra: 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., October 26, 2025
Calculus: 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., October 26, 2025
Exam location:Lecture hall A2.
Exam format:The exam is written on paper, lasting 150 minutes, according to the rules of the Vietnam Mathematical Association.
The OlpAI competition encourages students to research and apply AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning techniques to solve real-life problems. Teams (2–3 members) will choose topics in the fields of natural language processing, computer vision, AI in education, economics or health.
The team develops the complete AI product: model, data and report. The school round will select the best team to represent NEU to attend the 2025 National AI Olympiad. The specific time will be announced later by the Organizing Committee.
ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) is the most prestigious team programming competition in the world, gathering students from more than 100 countries.
Each team consists of 3 students and 1 coach, with two groups: News Specialist and Non-News Specialist. Teams compete for 5 hours to solve 10–13 programming problems using C/C++/Java/Python. Excellent teams will be selected to attend ICPC Asia Ho Chi Minh City Regional 2025, expanding opportunities to learn and compete on the international playground.
The competition encourages students to develop technology products that are highly applicable in society. The competition format is a 48-hour Hackathon, with each team consisting of 3 students and 1 coach. Each school can register a maximum of 2 teams.
Suggested topics include: digital learning solutions, AI/IoT applications for data management, support for people with disabilities or the community. This is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their creativity, programming and social responsibility.
Procon is an interactive programming competition where two teams directly control agents in a simulated environment. Each team consists of 2 students and 1 coach, limited to a maximum of 2 teams/school.
Real-time battle competition format, automatic scoring. This is the ideal competition for those who love strategy, reflective thinking and team coordination.
