SPEAKER INFORMATION
Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuoc Van is a researcher and artificial intelligence (AI) development expert with more than 15 years of experience in the fields of high technology and education. Currently, she is working as an AI Developer at Homeguardian.AI, where she focuses on building AI solutions that support remote healthcare.
Previously, she worked as a Researcher at the Big Data Research Center, Japan's National Institute of Information and Communications (NICT), where she led the digital health project, developing tools to analyze data from Fitbit and sensors environment, and cooperates with leading companies in Japan to deploy digital solutions in industry.
She also worked at the Center for Health Research, University of Southern Queensland, Australia, as a researcher and visiting lecturer. Her projects focus on building AI models related to health and sleep quality.
With a solid foundation in research, she completed her PhD at Massey University, New Zealand, where she received many prestigious awards such as “Dean’s List of Exceptional Theses” and the NZ Development Scholarship. She has also made great contributions in the field of radar sensors and intelligent systems. Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuoc Van is the author of many studies presented at international conferences, with awards for excellent presentations. She has received prestigious scholarships such as the Schlumberger Foundation Fellowship and the Belgian Bilateral Scholarship.
